ASK. BELIEVE. RISK. RECEIVE.

You have a calling.

That calling which tells you that you dont have to hate your alarm clock.

That calling which tells you that there is nothing wrong with you, you are just with the wrong people. At the wrong place.

That calling for which you are waiting. That life-changing miracle you keep praying for.

That sense of being chosen. Being special. You just need to wait long enough, and it will be revealed to you. Someone or something will enter your life and will turn it upside down by showing you how great and talented you are.

So you wait. For way too long. You get used to feel that inner drive but do nothing about it. You start to think that maybe that’s the way you should live. Having fire in your heart but keeping living safely. Keeping judging those who dared to let that fire out.

They have been lucky! How irresponsible of them! They have all the connections and money! They are truly talented but Im not.

Life passes you by. You hear the stories of exciting adventures. Of others. Not yours. You wish you were them. But you aren’t. You are not them. You are you. You need to wash dishes or pick up kids from school. They don’t have kids. They don’t wash dishes.

They have a clear vision of what they want. They know it since the age of 5. You don’t. You never had any interests. Or talents. Except for singing. And languages. And writing. But nothing special. Never been special.

Your inner voice keeps pushing.

Quit that job. Get that job. Go on that trip. Talk to that guy. Speak your truth. Stand up for yourself in this situation. Don’t go there. Don’t date that guy. Don’t talk to that friend.

But fear is blocking you. Not trusting yourself is blocking you. Your whole life you’ve been relying on someone else’s permission to act. On someone else’s opinion and evaluation of risks. You know nothing. Others know everything. Society sets the rules. So if others tell you that it’s crazy to do it – you probably should listen.

Leave that toxic relationship – says your inner voice.

Don’t leave him! you ll die without him! you ll have no security! No money! Nobody else to rely on! – tells your ego. Or your friend. Or mom. Or the guy himself.

Quit that job – whispers your voice.

Don’t do that! How crazy of you! How irresponsible! Do you have another secure plan? – tells … everyone.

Calling. Purpose. They can wait. Loving the alarm clock can wait. Until you’ll feel secure enough to quit.

As soon as you are secure – THEN you ll live to the fullest! Then you can make a change.

But your calling is waiting for you to act NOW. Not when you feel ready. Not when you settle.

Your calling pushes you to make that first step. Today. Now.

Only you know what that step is. Not your mom, or partner or friends. They have no idea what’s going on inside of you. They don’t see the fire you ve been hiding for so many years. They are too busy hiding their own fire. They will tell you all the ways how NOT TO LET THIS FIRE OUT. They will give you an advice on how to pretend not having it. How to ignore and arrange your life around it.

You have lived the life you dont want for long enough. You have a certain vision of what you crave for. You KNOW what kind of a lifestyle you desire.

It’s enough to start with. Hold that vision in your mind and intend to have no matter what it takes. Believe in yourself. In your connection with God. You don’t have to do it all on your own. You can fully rely on your inner guidance.

Risk. Take a leap of faith. And believe, believe, believe. Consistently. Even when it seems that nothing is happening. That your prayers are not heard.

It’s not about how to achieve your dreams, it’s about how to lead your life, … If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life

Steve Jobs

Keep believing. Keep having that vision. Dare to risk.

Don’t wait for something to come and change your life. You waited for too long. It didn’t work. Become this “something” and take control of your own destiny. Take baby steps. Every day.

Your efforts will be rewarded.
